N/R: NPP PC for Mion calls on youth to embrace peace ahead of 2020 elections

The 2020 NPP Parliamentary Candidate for Mion Constituency, Hon. Musah Abdul-Aziz Ayaba has called on youth of the country to embrace peace ahead of this year’s parliamentary and presidential election on 7th December, 2020.

Speaking on the topic “ The Role of Politicians in the Promotion of Peace and Unity for Youth Development Towards Election 2020″ at the launch of the 5th edition of the Northern Ghana Entertainment Awards at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium in Tamale on 25th January, 2020, Hon. Abdul Aziz noted that peace is essential for self, community and the country’s development which he called on Ghanaians especially the youth to protect to make the country safer and the most peaceful country in Africa.

The parliamentary candidate underscored the need to understand and embrace the cardinal principles of peace which includes love, charity, tolerance, faith, forgiveness, patience, sense of togetherness and reconciliation.

According to him, political violence in some African countries, such as Ivory Coast, Congo and Mali has affected the socio-economic development of such countries which the country must take its lessons from.

Hon. Ayaba Abdul Aziz adviced the youth to take advantage of the NPP government’s flagship programs and not to engage in political vigilantism which has the tendency to plunge the nation into chaos.

He also called on the youth to advocate for peace before, during and after the December, 7th general elections.

The NPP Parliamentary candidate also called on colleague aspirants to encourage and observe deeds that keeps the nation together and added that politicians should be an agency for finding peace and creating solutions to problems in the society.
