MCE Vows to Smash Traffic Woes

Kwabre East Municipal Assembly has launched a major decongestion exercise. Its aim is to ease traffic congestion and improve urban mobility in the region.

The initiative spans from Asonomaso Nkwanta to Ahwiaa Lafontaine International school. The decongestion team is currently active in Mamponeteng. They are moving toward Fawoade and its surrounding areas.

This effort aligns with the municipal agenda to reduce traffic congestion. It also supports President Mahama’s promise to resume the construction of the long-awaited Mamponteng Market. It also aims to revitalize Mamponteng, the municipal capital, with a much-needed facelift.

According to Authorities all unauthorised structure along the stretch will be forcibly removed as the decongestion team continues on Monday.

Residents and traders of Mamponteng have welcomed the efforts of the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Hon Joseph Amankwah. They note the primary challenge is the lack of suitable relocation sites for affected individuals.

Hon Joseph Amankwah is urging all residents and traders along the stretch to collaborate with the Assembly. This collaboration will help alleviate traffic issues. He also asks them to prepare to welcome the construction team for the upcoming Mamponteng Market project.
