Students of OTEC School of Journalism and Communication Studies were well-represented at the swearing-in ceremony of the newly elected executives of the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) in the Ashanti Region.
The event provided the students with an opportunity to learn about the GJA and its activities.

Under the leadership of their lecturer, Kwame Agyenim Boateng, the students met high-profile individuals, including Ashanti Regional Police Commander DCOP Emmanuel Teye-Cudjoe, Ashanti Regional Minister Dr. Frank Amoakohene, National GJA President Albert Dwumfour, and former National Media Commission Chairman Yaw Boadu Ayeboafo.

The students also interacted with top media leaders, including editors, reporters, TV and radio hosts, and camera operators, gaining valuable insights into the industry.

The experience is expected to enhance their understanding of the media landscape and prepare them for their future careers
