The Ghanaian Foreign Ministry has awarded Diplomatic Passports to five outstanding patriots: Wode Maya, Lady Dentaa Amoateng, Rocky Dawuni, Ibrahim Mahama, and Anita Erskine.
In a tweet by the Foreign Affairs Minister Okudzeto Ablakwa, He said, The decision, announced recently, has been warmly received and resoundingly endorsed by Ghanaians, reflecting the country’s collective pride in their extraordinary accomplishments.
The initiative highlights Ghana’s recognition of contributions beyond active politics, emphasizing the value of all citizens’ efforts in nation-building.
Holders of Ghana’s Diplomatic Passports can travel to 42 countries visa-free, and the Foreign Ministry has instructed all 75 resident diplomatic missions to extend special privileges and courtesies to the five honorees whenever they visit these nations or countries where Ghana holds concurrent diplomatic accreditation.
According Okudzeto, the general acceptance of this honor underscores a national commitment to perseverance and excellence, with a message to all Ghanaians to keep excelling as the nation watches. “Together, we shall make Ghana great and strong,” the statement concluded, signed off with a call for unity “For God and Country.”
